Experience Lake Chelan, carved out by a valley glacier that extended from the crests of the Cascade Mountains to the Columbia River. The narrow lake snakes through the hills for more than 50 miles in a northwest to southeast direction, ending in the south at the inlet to the Chelan River. Then travel to Grand Coulee, an ancient river bed, this National Natural Landmark stretches for about 60 miles from southwest from Grand Coulee Dam to Soap Lake, being bisected by Dry Falls into the Upper and Lower Grand Coulee.
